Photograph of Queen Victoria’s Visit to Loreto Abbey, Rathfarnham in April 1900. Queen Victoria had previously visited Ireland during her reign in 1849 and 1853. Here we see her arrival at the Abbey. The Mother General, M. Michael Corcoran, waits to greet her and children dressed in their white graduation gowns serenade the royal party.
