Description of main collections: Material relating to the foundation, development
and continued work of the Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) dated from the
1841 to present.

The collections include material such as:

  • Records relevant to the OLA foundations and the work carried out in different
    countries around the world, especially in Ireland, England, Nigeria, Ghana, Benin,
    Togo, Tanzania, Zambia, Kenya, Sudan, Argentina, Algeria, and the United States of
    America.
  • Publications such as pamphlets and souvenir brochures collected from OLA
    foundations and associated communities around the world.
  • Visual media such as lantern slides, photographs, reversal film, and digital
    photographs which showcase the life and work of the OLA Sisters.
  • Documents relating to the administration of the Irish Province of the OLA.
  • Records received from the OLA Generalate in France and Rome, as well as
    material relating to plenary council and general chapter meetings.
